Abu Dhabi Police and Siraj signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)

The General Headquarters of Abu Dhabi Police and Siraj Malayalam, an Indian newspaper issued in Dubai, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on media cooperation between the two sides.

Present were Major General Khalil Dawood Badran, director general of the Finance and Services at Abu Dhabi Police and Al Sheikh Abu Bakr Musliyar Kanthapuram, head of Siraj Publishing Group.
The MoU was signed by Lt. Col. Khalid Al Shamsi, deputy director of the Department of Technical and Security Information Affairs on behalf of Abu Dhabi police, while MKM Abbas, editor incharge of Siraj paper, signed on behalf of the Indian paper.

Badran welcomed the agreement, stressing that the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, is keen to boost cooperation with India. He added that the paper plays a role in educating the Indian community in the country about laws and regulations, especially in the security and police fields.

For his part, Kanthapuram said the Indian community is the biggest community in the country, adding that light will be shed on police awareness message, especially the efforts of the ministry of Interior to deal with violators of the residency law through provision of correct information. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
